
Nelspruit – Four men aged between 25 and 42, were arrested by the police in Nelspruit for possession of stolen property.
Their arrest came as a result of police swift action after receiving information about stolen items that were kept in a certain house at Le Roux Street, Sonpark in Nelspruit.
Members of the police went to the mentioned house for a search and recovered items suspected to be stolen, which includes amongst them, four plasma televisions, a laptop, five bicycles, portable DVD player, cellphones and other items estimated to the value of R50 000.
As a result of the recovery, the four men, including a Senegalese and Ghanaian, were arrested. All the items including a vehicle suspected to be used in the transportation of the items were seized.
Police further uncovered that one plasma television and a laptop were stolen during a burglary that was reported in the early hours of February 13 at Belladonna and in Nelspruit.
“The suspects will also be investigated with regard to this incident and possible link them to other similar offences around Nelspruit,” said Sgt Gerald Sedibe, police spokesperson.
The villains will appeared in court today.
