COPE sends condolences to families affected by road accidents

The Congress Of The People has sent condolences to the families that lost their loved ones during a number of road accidents that happened in the province over the weekend.

NELSPRUIT – The Congress Of The People has sent condolences to the families that lost their loved ones during a number of road accidents that happened in the province over the weekend.

At least two road accidents happened along the Magugu/KaNyamazane road in two different days at the weekend and a total of five people died as a result of these two accidents.

According to the party, most of these people resided at KaMagugu and the accidents bring to three the number of road accidents that affected the KaMagugu community in less than two weeks.

Over a week ago a man from KaMagugu lost control of his car and died after it had overturned. COPE says the death of a person as a result of a road accident is one too many.

Subsequently COPE would like to remind motorists and other road users to exercise caution all the time.

“Respecting speed limit and observing road traffic signs may be factors that may save lives in our roads,” said COPE Mpumalanga provincial chairman, Comrade Sizile Ndlovu.
