PIENAAR – Four suspects charged with hijacking a vehicle appeared at the Kanyamazane magistrate court yesterday.

They were arrested on Tuesday by the local police after they had received a tip-off about a white Toyota bakkie with a load of burnt metal.

Police officers who were busy patrolling didn’t hesitate, they rushed to the scene and stopped the bakkie where the driver was questioned about it.

Upon checking, they discovered that it was a burnt car that was hijacked on Friday night at Mphakatsi area which is a Blue Daihatsu and belongs to one of the police officers who’s based at White River. It’s reported that the police was with his family where the suspects attacked him.
