Residents spend two weeks without water

"We spent almost two weeks drinking dirty water from wells".

SHABALALA-Water supply is still a challenge in different municipalities in Mpumalanga such as Nkomazi, Bushbuckridge and Mbombela Local Municipality.

Recently this publication learnt that residents of this village were forced to spend two weeks drinking dirty water from wells since trucks that are responsible to provide them with water failed to supply them.

According to the community members  they were left in dilemma since their community leaders didn’t inform them about anything regarding water supply.

One of the community members Ms Thembekile Mkhwanazi had this to say “We were forced to spend two weeks without water ,we don’t know what is the problem .I  think they need to improve the lines of communication and now we are forced to drink dirty water from wells because we don’t have a choice “.

Mpumalanga News tried to contact the spokesperson of Mbombela Local Municipality ,Mr Joseph Ngala regarding this matter but our efforts were fruitless.
