A trio appeared in court for a string of robberies

They all pleaded not not guilty to the charges of house robberies, murder and possession of firearm and ammunition.

MBOMBELA – The court case against three men accused of a string of housebreakings, murder and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition continued in the Gauteng Division of the Pretoria High Court seated in Nelspruit last week.

Mr Mongezi Penuel Mdluli (24), Boet-Boet Mcolosi Nkosi (23) both from Erme;o Trust and Whitey Vincent Lekhonae (32) of Clau Clau Trust pleaded not not guilty to all charges labelled against them.

The trio is accused of house breakings that took place in Kabokweni, Mapoto, Bhuga Trust, Halfway Trust, Barcelona Section between February 17 and February 25. They are also accused of shooting and killing one of the victims who resisted being robbed from his home. A postmoterm conducted on the victim’s body states that he died of gunshot wound to the body.

The matter was postponed for arguments to September 22 in the same court.
