Police investigate death of minor
The death of a 10-year-old girl left her family and friends in shock after found death minutes after being left by her peers.
KANYAMAZANE – Police have opened a murder inquest following the death of a 10-year-old girl who died while playing with a swing with her friends at home. Police reports suggested that the little girl last Wednesday.
This sad incident, which has left her family and friends traumatized, is still a mystery and the family is hoping police would move with speed and found answers that would give them closure.
According to the Kanyamazane police spokesperson, WO Andries Skwambane, the girl was playing with her friend outside her residential yard. “What we have gathered so far is that the little girl’s friend decided to go home noticing that it was getting darker, but she continued playing in the swing but it’s still unclear how she lost her life,” he said.
It is suspected though that the swing was not strong enough and might have accidentally tied her neck with the rope.
Skwambane has urged parents to look after their kids and ensure that they play safely at ll times.
