Trust celebrates 12 years of owning land
The tribe celebrates 12 years of togetherness and success.

MBOMBELA- Descendants and subjects of the late Matsafeni Mdluli, the founder of Matsafeni Mdluli Clan near the Mbombela Stadium gathered in their numbers to celebrate 12 years of successfully owning their ancestral land after it was released to them through the land restitution act, by the Land Claim Commission in 2003.
“We claimed the land in 1996 and it took government years to research if the claim was genuine and valid before releasing it to us as the claimants. Today we celebrate those 12 years of togetherness and success as a united and successful tribe,” explained Mr Terry Mdluli, the leader of the clan.
