Police are looking for 17 suspects who robbed Standard Bank ATMs

The suspects cut the strong room door using grinders and hammers. They further took an undisclosed amount of money from one ATM.

KANYAMAZANE – Police are looking for 17 suspects who robbed and vandalised Standard Bank ATMs yesterday. It is alleged that around 23:00 during the night a group of 17 suspects attack four security officers at the shopping complex who were on night duty. They were assaulted and tied up with ropes.

One sustained a leg fracture and was taken to hospital.

The suspects cut the strong room door using grinders and hammers. They further took an undisclosed amount of money from one ATM, vandalised the others and fled the scene. Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects is urged to contact Capt Mayindi on 082-469-1542.
