A tour to promote tourism under way
This project will not only play a significant role in boosting the economy of the province but will also help fight poverty through the employment opportunities that will be created.

MBOMBELA – In a bid to promote domestic tourism, with special focus on tribal areas, the MEC for Tourism, Mr Eric Kholwane visited the Blyde River Canyon’s route which is one of the most visited tourism destinations.
During his tour to this area, Kholwane was accompanied by delegates of the executive committee of the House of the Traditional Leaders led by the provincial chairperson, Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena and the former deputy chairperson, Kgoshi Anna Mohlala.
This initiative comes after the department responsible for tourism in the province put aside an amount of R10 million to revive tourism places in areas that are under traditional leaders.
According to Kholwane, this project will not only play a significant role in boosting the economy of the province but will also help fight poverty through the employment opportunities that will be created.
