This follows after a taxi that was enroute to Mozambique, overturned near the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) camp.
Spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr Joseph Mabuza said the driver lost control of the vehicle at 05.00 after he failed to turn at a corner. “It is unfortunate that some did not reach their destination. The taxi and trailer still need to be checked if there are more people trapped inside,” confirmed Mabuza.
Nine passengers were injured and were taken to hospital. More details to follow.
