Auditions are set for Miss MP 2017

The bar has been raised to phenomenal heights.

MBOMBELA – It’s that time of the year when young, intelligent and beautiful women battle it out for the coveted crown of Miss Mpumalanga 2017.

The campaign to choose the best, begins with two rounds of auditions next month.

Witbank’s event will be held at the Protea Highveld in Emalahleni on December 8, and the Mbombela auditions are set to be on December 9, at the new Chilli Pepper Boutique Hotel, adjacent to Riverside Mall, along the R40. At both venues the event will be from 10:00 to 17:00.

According to the organisers, Mzimari Productions and their main sponsors, the Mpumalanga Gambling Board, this year’s auditions are set to attract the best Mpumalanga beauties with brains. “We set a target for ourselves, that within a period of five years, we should have at least produced a South African queen, we’ve done that with Ntandoyenkosi Kunene as Miss SA 2016.

The bar has been raised to phenomenal heights, in that young women in the province now see a possibility of being national queens and who knows, they can go international, if they want to through us.

“An added feather in our cap, is that we also give local designers an opportunity to dress up a reigning queen as she attends many functions and activities.

That opportunity is open for many others, but for now, young women must come prepared and do their very best at the auditions,” reads a statement from the organisers.
