Four suspects arrested for possession of dagga
Police discovered three bags of dagga with a street value of R70 000.
BLOCK C – Build-up weekend operations by the SAPS for festive season are yielding positive results as dagga smugglers were arrested over the weekend.
Mpumalanga News has learnt that over the weekend four people were arrested for possession of dagga. Their arrest comes after an off duty officer, Capt Thomas Phangisa received a tip-off about a vehicle carrying dagga from Mgobodzi enroute to this area.
He waited for the vehicle at the place where they were going to sell the dagga and he arrested four suspects who are between the age of 20 to 40 years.

The spokesperson of the police, Lt Mzwandile Nyambi said that in the vehicle they discovered three bags of dagga with a street value of R70 000. “They have been charged with possession of dagga and they are expected to appear at the Tonga magistrate’s court today,” he said.
