The well-known jazz, fusion and mbaqanga musician was born on March, 23 1947 in Mbombela.

He died on July 12, 2017 and he was 70 years old. The legendary musician suffered from lung cancer.

He was a founding member of the Cannibals in the 1970s.

Later, the Cannibals were renamed Stimela.

Last year October the South African Music Awards honoured him with a Lifetime Achiever award for his contribution in the music industry.
