The school had been without functional toilets since the beginning of the second semester.

Classes were disturbed at Sicelalwati Combined School in Tekwane North this morning.

The children explained that they had been without toilets since the beginning of the second semester because the hired toilets they had been using since the opening of the school in 2016, were removed by the service provider.

Parents who attended the picket said the school will be closed until the education department solves this pressing issue.
At the time of publishing this spokesperson for the department, Mr Jasper Zwane had not responded to questions.
