WARNING: Eskom not donating taxis

Eskom alerts the public about a new scam doing the rounds in Mpumalanga

Eskom recently found out of a scam around the Mpumalanga area and has warned the public not to entertain these types of phone calls.
It is believed that an unknown caller is actively calling members of Eskom’s previously-funded projects. The scammer claims that Eskom has received minibus taxis from a donor. The scammer maintains that he is from Eskom in Centurion.
The scammer then informs the person they are speaking to that these minibus taxis are being donated to them and that there is a certain amount that needs to be paid first for insurance purposes before they can receive their minibus taxis.
Eskom has issued a press release on February 12, to state that this is a scam and that members of the public should be wary.
