Bogus doctor sought for contempt of court
The Hawks are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a 38-year-old alleged bogus medical doctor Malandala Lubanda who absconded court proceedings after he was granted bail following his arrest.
Lubanda who hails from the Democratic Republic of Congo was initially arrested in February 2012 and charged for practicing as a medical doctor in Mabopane without valid qualifications.
The accused was practicing under the employ of Dr Levy Choene Makgatho, who was recently arrested following a tipoff from members of the public after his picture was circulated in the media.

Lubanda subsequently appeared at the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s Court and was released on an R5000 bail and he never attended a follow-up court date as instructed. A warrant of arrest was issued on the 2nd August 2012 for his arrest.
