Premier Refilwe Tsipane appoints Sibongile Mkani-Mpolweni as her new spokesperson
The new spokeswoman confirmed that she has taken over from Mncwango.
MBOMBELA – Former SABC news reporter, Sibongile Mkani-Mpolweni is Mpumalanga premier’s new spokesperson following her appointment yesterday.
Zibonele Mncwango is no longer be the spokesperson. He said he was going back to work in the communications department at the Office of the Premier on a Facebook post where he congratulated Mkani-Mpolweni on her new job. He served as the former premier, Deputy president David Mabuza spokesperson. The new spokeswoman confirmed that she has taken over from Mncwango.
She has worked as a reporter at eNCA, Daily Dispatch and Cape Argus publications. Tsipane is not the only government’s political head who has a new spokesperson. Transport minister, Fikile Mbalula also recruited former broadcast journalist Ayanda Allie-Paine as the ministry’s new spokesperson. Paine tweeted that she was ready and willing to serve. She also congratulated Mkani-Mpolweni.
