Eskom to implement Stage 2 load-shedding today
According to Eskom, the electricity system has been severely constrained this week.

Stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented from 9.00am until 23.00pm today.
Eskom announced that it is necessary to implement rotational load-shedding in order to protect the power system from a total collapse.

Customers are advised to use electricity sparingly throughout the day by doing the following:
- Set air conditioners at average temperature.
- Switch off your geysers at over peak periods.
- Set your swimming pool pump cycle to run twice a day.
- Avoid standby mode by switching off computers, printers, copiers and fax machines at the end of business.
