Seminar set to take businesswomen through legalities
The purpose is to educate entrepreneurs, start-ups and aspirants struggling with legal issues.

Thembi Mawelele Attorneys in conjunction with the South African Chamber of Business Women (SACBW) will hold the first Entrepreneurship Legal Seminar in the City tomorrow in order to legally empower businesswomen.
“Our purpose is to educate entrepreneurs, start-ups and aspirants struggling with legal issues on how to deal with legal issues in their businesses,” said Mawelele.

“Legal compliance is an integral part of running a successful business. We, therefore, invite all entrepreneurs to come and learn about the different topics to be presented there, which includes legal considerations when setting up a business structure, legal pitfalls in contracts, directors duties and liabilities and financial considerations of running a business,” she said.
Mawelele added that among the speakers at the seminar is Douglas Mokaba from the Companies Tribunal, an agency in the Department of Trade and Industry which helps to provide speedy resolutions of company disputes.
The seminar will be held at 103 Lifestyle. Registration starts at 09:00 and the event will start at 10:00.
