Simile identified as area with possible poisoned water in Sabie

The Thaba Chweu Local Municipality still urges all Sabie residents to use water with caution.

After releasing a statement on Saturday August 13 that the water in a Sabie reservoir may have been poisioned, Thaba Chweu Local Municipality (TCLM) has confirmed the possible unusable water does not include the whole town’s.

Ehlanzeni District Municipality and TCLM are currently administering water tests.

Ward 6 in Simile has been identified for possible poisoned water.

However, TCLM did urge all Sabie residents to continue using water with caution until the test results are confirmed.

Drinking water will be supplied through water tankers until the safety of the water can be confirmed.

The reservoir pipes throughout the whole of Sabie are are being flushed as a decontamination measure.
