Couple shot dead in their sleep near Masoyi

Police can not yet confirm the motive for the couple's murder.

Police are hunting for a suspect after a 45-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were shot dead at their home in Chochocho, near Masoyi, this morning, March 15.

According to reports, they were asleep in their house when the suspect or suspects forced entry into the house and shot at them.

Both victims were certified dead at the scene.

“The motive for the killing cannot be confirmed at this stage. Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist with the investigation or lead to the arrest of the suspect or suspects,” Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed.

SAPS has opened a case of double murder for investigation.
