Human bones discovered on Delmas farm
The discovery was made by a person who had been game hunting on the farm.

The SAPS were alerted to a discovery of bones on Hekpoort Farm outside Delmas on September 1. An inquest has been opened.
According to the police, on Thursday at about 15:30, they received a call from a member of the public about the remains.
The police confirmed the bones were certainly human.

They said the discovery was made by a person who had been engaged in game hunting on the farm.
According to a provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala: “A preliminary investigation has revealed that the body could have been dumped, then set alight. The police are still trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the person’s death.
The identity and the gender are unknown at this stage, however, the police are currently probing an inquest that may probably be changed to murder, looking at the evidence that points out to the theory that the person could have been set alight.
