Stanley Mogohlo is a hard-working, self-taught portrait artist. He customises sneakers and does charcoal drawings.

Stanley Mogohlo, also known as Stanley Walk Art, is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the arts industry.

Mogohlo, a self-taught portrait artist, painter, customiser of sneakers, and creator of charcoal sketches, first pursued his talent as a hobby before turning it into a profession.
“I never imagined a career in the arts, but I realised there will always be people who would need your services if you take your craft seriously and produce quality portraits,” he explained.

According to him, he has always loved art and drew inspiration from legendary fine artists and painters.
“I know I will never be as excellent as Pablo Picasso or Leonardo Da Vinci, but I always admire them and I’m continuously honing my craft by watching their documentaries and looking at the work of other accomplished artists.”

Mogohlo said he wants to enrol at an art school to further improve.
“I recently completed my diploma in human resources management from the Tshwane University of Technology, and now I want to pursue my interest in the arts, study creative art to develop my abilities and open up other career prospects. I believe that there are no more powerful tools than education and skills improvement”

Mogohlo said, “Aside from being a personal victory, succeeding in the art business will set a precedent for the entire community. I often see young people who are interested in art but have no idea where to begin, therefore their success will be greatly impacted by mine because I will also assist them build their talents and monetise their work.”

Mogohlo said his wish was to start a community collection gallery.
“I wish that all the creatives in the community can come together and work in improving the arts here. I wish that all the artists here can work together to create an collective arts gallery which will showcase all our work,” he concluded.
