The club has been involved in numerous humanitarian programmes all year long. They have raised money, donated running shoes to underprivileged runners, advocated against gender-based violence, and collected and distributed sanitary towels to local schools.
According to Andile Shabangu of Bellas, this is a project they have run for the past three years since the inception of the club.
“As an non-profit organisation (NPO), in an effort to give back to the communities we always train in in Mbombela, we decided to identify those less privileged families and bless them with food parcels this Christmas, so they can have a warm meal to share with their family.”

Shabangu said with the help of community leaders they managed to identify the families to donate to.
“The beneficiaries were the people sleeping on the streets of Mbombela with no homes to return to on Christmas Day, and the community members were identified by the leaders and as a club were shared the little that we had,” he explained
“We will always strive to lend a helping hand where we can, because we believe that the hand that gives is the hand that will receive. Surely our club will receive blessings and more sponsorship,” he concluded.
