TS Galaxy acquire Hollywoodbets Super League status for their ladies’ team

The Rockets acquired status of Vasco Da Gama to hand their ladies' side a chance to compete in the Top Flight woman’s football league.

TS Galaxy Football Club has bought the Premier Division status of Vasco Da Gama for their ladies’ team, TS Galaxy Queens, to campaign in the Hollywoodbets Super League.

The Queens were previously competing in the Sasol Women’s League. They came close to getting promotion to the Hollywoodbets, but they failed.
TS Galaxy join Mamelodi Sundowns and Royal AM as the only DStv Premiership sides with a women’s team playing in the Hollywoodbets Super League.

The president of TS Galaxy Queens, Duduzile Sukazi, expressed her excitement about the news of competing among the best in the country.

“I’m over the moon about this move. It is a dream come true for the club. We are a club that is unapologetic in its stance towards the advancement of the football game among the women of this country.”

Sukazi said it is a critical part of our agenda to have our ladies’ side competing in the elite league just like the men’s.
“Our ladies performed with outstanding honour at the regional level but unfortunately, that pursuit was unsuccessful in the national play-offs for two seasons on the trot. We were left with no choice but to make other means of securing Hollywoodbets status and we have just done exactly that,” Sukazi elaborated.

TS Galaxy Queens will host their home matches at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in KwaNdebele. The Hollywoodbets Super League is set to kick off next month.
