Owned by Mpumalanga born business mogul, Senzo Tsabedze, this golf club will be home to exciting and appetizing golf tournaments.

Skukuza Golf Club in the Kruger National Park has officially reopened its doors to the public.
This state-of-the-art golf club, owned and managed by Afrirent Holdings and Indalo Hotels, 100% black-owned companies, now boasts new greens, a renovated restaurant with a deck, a pro shop, a clubhouse and fairways, all to the tune of R25m.
During the official opening on Saturday, Afrirent Holdings’ CEO, Senzo Tsabedze, said he has big dreams for this club and hopes to attract signature golf tournaments.
“This club is unique in its own way. I want to put it on the map. My vision is to see it produce great golf players and to get big names in the sport come and play here. We are already planning to host the Sunshine Senior Tour here before or by June.”

Tsabedze is no stranger to both the Kruger Park and golf. He was a caddie before he ventured into business.
“For me and the company it’s really not about the money, but more about passion. I am passionate about this club and about golf. I know the potential this has and I am sure we are going to turn it around,” he said.

Having created over 60 temporary employment opportunities for locals, the club is now home to about 25 permanently employed people.

“Going from being a caddie to owning a golf course is a dream come true and I hope this will inspire a lot of young people, especially black people from poor family backgrounds, that it possible to turn your life around and be successful,” said Tsabedze, before teeing off and officially declaring the course open.
