Prince from Muhushu near Hazyview is ready to be the king of amapiano
The 16-years-old musician said he is excited to make his contribution to the local music industry with his new single to be released in the near future.
Prince Mashaba (16) is a passionate and upcoming singer and songwriter hoping to make a successful career as an amapiano musician.
He goes by the name of Real Prince ZA and said he has performed on local stages since he started in 2019. He is influenced by many young musicians to whom he grew up listening. “I love music and I love seeing people enjoy my music. My hopes and dreams include healing people’s heart with my music and travelling around the world to experience music from other countries as well.”
This Grade 11 learner of Siphumelele Secondary School in Mpatseni said he writes his own music, but has not had a chance to release singles, and hopes to get an opportunity to do in the future.

“A new song titled ‘iParty’ will be released some time this year. It is going to be a nice and groovy amapiano song that both old and young people can jam to. This is the start of something amazing from me, and I hope my contribution will make some sort of difference in the music industry,” he said.
His mother, Zodwa Mashaba, said she is supportive of her son in his pursuit for success in music. “Whenever he asks for transport money to gigs, we do our best to provide for him and to also ensure that he is safe wherever he performs. I hope to see him successful and pursue his passion,” she said.

She said the family continues to encourage him to make his schoolwork a priority.
