Multi-talented Likazi woman aims to be powerhouse in entertainment and beauty industries

Mariana Manikela, an MC, fashion model, lash and nail tech and a brand ambassador, looking to take over some stages.

Just by her talkative and hyperactive personality, Mariana Manikela (25), believes she has all it takes to be an amazing all-round MC.

She is slowly building name for herself in Nsikazi and surrounds as an MC who brings tonnes of fun to social events, such as parties and local music festivals.

She now wants to venture into MCing at corporate events to broaden her skills.

“I find being an MC is an easy thing to pull off, because I love talking and constantly moving around so I bring out the energy needed for it. I started out as an MC in 2021 when a friend organised an event and needed one. I love the spotlight of being on stage and hyping people up,” Manikela said.

She said she loved MCing during family parties and weddings prior to venturing into it professionally. “I would entertain my family members at a young age and they would always give me the platform to do so. I believe that’s where I also gained the confidence to be myself.”

She is also a fashion model, brand ambassador, and a self-taught nail and lash tech. “It was unintentional to venture into all these careers, but at the moment it works and gels perfectly and makes me the powerhouse I aspire to be. I aim to use social media to get me out there, to be the all-round MC, the fashion model on big runways, an ambassador for big brands and a beauty expert. My goal is be a brand myself, to create job opportunities,” Manikela said.
