Two killed in shack shooting near railway in Acornhoek
One man was found with gunshot wounds and later died in hospital.
Two men, aged 26 and 37, were fatally shot in Acornhoek on Tuesday, June 10.
According to the Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, preliminary investigations revealed that five armed men stormed into a shack near a railway line and fired shots before they fled the scene using two vehicles, an Audi and a Toyota Fortuner.
The police discovered one of the victims lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The second, believed to be a friend, was found with gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

“The motive behind the killing remains unclear at the moment, however, the SAPS is working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident,” Ndubane said.
