Multitalented KaNyamazane MC aims for global stardom

Katerpillar De MC has started making name for himself outside the borders of South Africa.

With sharp lyrics, energetic ad-libs and an unmatched ability to create hype on any stage, Katerpillar De MC is taking over the groove scene with his extraordinary skills. Mpendulo Khoza has settled comfortably into a niche that opens doors for him in music, fashion, comedy, corporate events and the nightlife scene.

He has hyped stages abroad in countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique, steadily building a well-known name for himself.

His love of the entertainment industry began at home in Lekazi as an events organiser and influencer back in 2017. He organised school events and gained support from his family and friends. He became a professional MC in 2022, working at well-known entertainment venues in Mbombela.

In 2024, Khoza moved to Johannesburg to pursue opportunities that would place him in rooms with renowned entertainment stars, hoping to eventually reach international stardom.

He is currently the hype man behind social media personality and DJ, Cyan Boujee’s sizzling performances.

“I connected with her at different gigs, and every time she came to Mpumalanga I would MC for her. Over time, we built a natural working relationship – she liked my voice, my style, my punchlines and my effort, and she would book me whenever she was in the area,” he said.

“My industry positioning goals include hosting major entertainment events like awards shows, festivals and media launches. I also aim to collaborate with top artists, DJs, promoters and event organisers to expand my network and opportunities. Eventually I would like to transition into other entertainment areas, like radio and TV, acting and content creation,” Khoza said.
