TK Leon Consulting is a 100% black female-owned company led by Tsakane Ndhlovu from Saselani Village that specialises in poultry farming and egg production. Basic Blue Trading 192 is owned by Zweli Nyalungu, an entrepreneur from Bushbuckridge, and manufactures and upholsters furniture as well as car seat embroidery.
Ndhlovu told the committee that the funding assisted her in purchasing a vehicle and enabled her to increase production from 1 000 to 2 000 chicks.
She said: “Since September 2025, all is going well in the chicken business, and I have requested assistance to develop a site identified just outside White River, which is more suitable for broiler production due to its cooler temperatures compared to Bushbuckridge.”
