Young pageant star Siyamthanda inspired by Miss Universe

At just 14, Siyamthanda Precious Shongwe is turning pageant dreams into reality

Siyamthanda Precious Shongwe (14) is a young and determined model who is already making a name for herself in the world of beauty pageants. Although she only started taking part in pageants last year, her confidence, dedication, and passion have already helped her achieve remarkable success.

Her inspiration came from Zozibini Tunzi, Miss Universe 2019. Watching Tunzi being crowned motivated Siyamthanda to pursue her own dreams and become a role model for young girls.

“I want to inspire others in the same way Tunzi inspired me by showing girls that they can achieve anything they set their minds to,” she said.
Apart from pageantry, Siyamthanda has big ambitions for her future. She hopes to become a neurologist so that she can help people and make a difference in their lives through medicine and compassionate care.

She encourages other young girls who may feel afraid to enter pageants. “Every girl is capable, beautiful, and talented in her own unique way. I believe with faith, nothing is impossible,” she said.

One of the most memorable moments of her journey was hearing her name being announced as winner. She described the experience as a roller coaster of emotions. “I felt proud, excited, and overwhelmed with happiness. I even cried tears of joy as I celebrated my achievement,” she said.
