Life is a series of joys, laced with moments of troubles and troubles laced with moments of joy. It is designed in such a way that it’s a combination of great and sad moments, victories and losses, great friends and passionate enemies, sunrise and sunsets, sensational appointments and heart-rending disappointments.
One day starts at night, proceeds to daylight and returns to night time. It would be truly unnatural and downright bizarre for one to have a perfect and smooth-sailing kind of life. Troubles and pains have no segregation policy, they are not the preserve of the doomed majority, on the contrary, they assault both black and white, rich and poor, noble and ignoble, male and female. Heroes stand up to troubles, villains cower under the heat of troubles.
Friends it may be necessary to say it at this point that some troubles are self-inflicted, while others are circumstantial, however, all troubles have one thing in common, whether they make you or break you or help you or hurt you, the choice lies with you.
Dear friends, follow me as I share with you, high-voltage strategies on handling and dealing with trouble, once it hits your shores:
• Acknowledge that you have a problem or facing a challenge/challenges
Many people are not aware that the most vicious, viral and cancerous disease, are suffering from what might be called “denialism” or what I personally call denialesia. One of the greatest features of Universal Heroes and champions is their ability to graciously accept situations at hand and the challenges they are facing. Accepting and acknowledging one’s current circumstances, brings healing, a smoothing balm and remedy. Troubles thrive and run amok in an environment where their existence is being denied.
• Never depend on your own strength and ability to deal with your problems
The devil’s trouble and devastation-machinery, is ages old while humans are but of yesterday, and no match to the manouevers and schemes of the evil. The battle is the Lord’s and ours is the victory. We are surely more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.
• Analyse, then you won’t be paralysed
Many people are walking in darkness with regards to the problems they are going through. You will never win a battle against an enemy that you dón’t know. From time to time we need to pause and ask ourselves the questions, where am I and what is it that brought me here? What is this that I’m going through and what is the cause of it? Those who don’t analyse are always paralysed by their problems and troubles.
• Thank God for your troubled situations
When God allows certain situations in our lives, it is usually because He wants to take us through trust tests. We are tested to be trusted. God can never call you a trustee and entrust you with great mysteries and treasures unless you have passed the test of trust. Every trouble has two sides, positive and negative, good and bad. Always concentrate on the positive side of your trouble. We need to always position ourselves on a positive angle of the problem to appreciate the stars hidden behind the scars, the progress enveloped within the problem, the treasure encapsulated within the pressure, the joy fronted by great sadness.
Go through your problem with gratitude, it turns a sour moment into a sweet one, it changes little into much, nothing into something a shack into a mansion, and almost into at most.
Know that the problem is temporary while you are permanent. Any problem that enters must exit, any problem that starts must end.
Develop fortitude in the midst of the problem. It relates to mental strength. Every problem that attacks your life, does so because it is afraid of you. Learn to trouble your trouble because your trouble is in trouble when it troubles you.
• Take full responsibility for your problems and refuse the stolen privileges of blame shifting and ”blameology”. Many poor die being nobody, miserable and shameful losers because they spent their lives blaming others for their own flights and troubles. The greatest symptom of greatness is the ability for one to self-confront and say, “The thing I did is bad and I am ashamed of it.” It is easier to face yourself with the truth than for someone to confront you with your stupid actions.
• Develop a plan of action, turn around to correct the problem situation in your life
Unless you stand up for your own God-given life, nobody will, on your behalf.
You are the pilot of your own flight, captain of your own ship and master of your own journey. If you want to live, no one can stop you, if you want to die, no one can stop you either.
• Plan your work and work your plan, action your plan and plan your action
Failure to plan is planning to fail. Hope arises in life not because problems are gone, but because there is a plan to deal with them. Three things we need to turn the corner, action, action, action. To wish is to waste, to dream is to design, but to do is to create. Never postpone action, procrastination is a natural assassin of opportunity.
