Our view
Each resident can pat himself on the back for accepting foreign nationals who live among us like brothers and sisters.

Praise be unto Mpumalanga for being the only province in the country to have contained xenophobia because we are peace-loving and hospitable people.
Each resident can pat himself on the back for accepting foreign nationals who live among us like brothers and sisters.
We were able, as a province to check the skirmishes on our very own soil, which lasted a few days, and restore peace.
It is true that many as the foreigners may be, they bring along with them, entrepreneurship skills which we lack.
Look at how township businesses of yesteryear, have all crumbled and are not only white elephants, but empty grey shells.
One politician rightly put it that instead of feeling threatened by our African brothers and sisters, let us learn the skills they possess to further develop as a community.
Academically, foreigners are also highly qualified and skilled with vast experience of having worked in different countries.
We need to learn from them.
Some of their countries attained independence more than 50 years ago. They have more experience than us, although we have better resources.
The likes of Zambia and Tanzania were the most affected during our struggle years by accommodating us.
They dealt with our very own xenophobia during those years, whereby, they educated their nationals about us, and we were accepted by all.
Why are we crybabies in South Africa? Are we not our brothers’ keepers as they are ours?
These are resourceful people who eke out a living, hence Mpumalanga News will print messages to promote peace and unity in the province.
