Our support will make a difference

Our very own Mpumalanga contestants flew the Province's flag high after they made it through to the top 16 of Idols SA.

Our very own Brenden Ledwaba and Musa Sukwene were among the thousands of hopefuls who braved the winter cold as aspiring idols, and are now proudly flying the province’s flag high after they made it to the top 16 of SA Idols while other contestants left Sun City in tears as their dreams were shattered.

You could clearly see their nervousnes on everyone, even those who had never been criticized by the judges, seemed to be nervous as they walked the long walk to their fate. The two contestants, who hail from Graskop and Emalahleni, made their mark on all the social networks after they auditioned and left the judges mesmerised. They both auditioned at the Johannesburg auditions as they are currently based there.

Nineteen-year-old Brenden auditioned with Miguel’s song “Adorn” as the last contestant of the day, concluding the Jo’burg auditions on a high and 26-year-old Musa’s song, “Pretty Wings’ from Maxwell, also blew the judges away. The two seem to have reached the start of their glory and great things. Ledwaba is currently studying sound engineering at the Emendy Music College in Pretoria, and Musa studied music.

This week viewers are starting to vote. Their fate will lie in the hands of the public. Let us support our own and vote for them. Mpumalanga News is calling upon everyone in the province to get behind our lads by voting for them, and we will update you on developments. Watch Idols on M-Net and Mzansi magic on Sundays at 17:30. It will also be available on DSTV channel 199 for extras.
