Determined to send God’s message

Nelson Mkhatshwa said that this province is blessed with people who have talent

Our local gospel artist, Nelson Mkhatshwa ,who’s well known in the industry as “Mkhatshwa” is aiming high in preaching the Word of God through music.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News, Mkhatshwa said God is doing wonders in his life and he will never stop praising him as long as he still lives, he’s growing spiritually since he started singing in 1997. As he’s been growing spiritually, God started to speak with him in different ways and on different occasions. So far he managed to release his second album titled, “Ngiph’Amandla“ which consists of 12 tracks and is selling like hot cakes on the shelves.

”I started singing in 1997 as I believe that it’s a gift from God. As time went on, God spoke to me several times through dreams. I remember one day when he told me that I needed to start to send his message to the people. At first I didn’t understand because I was taking it as a gift from God, then I recorded my first album that was titled “Ungumalusi “ which was also doing well on the market, but my second is a testimony that proves that indeed the Lord is with me ,because this album is loved by lots of people because it uplifts a person spiritually. “ Ingako ngitse selihloko sayo “Ngiph’Amandla ngoba endleni sihambe sikhatsale ngenca yetimo lesihlangabetana nato.“

He said that this province is blessed with people who have talent, especially in arts, but lack of support from government is still a challenge that needs to be addressed in order for this province to be able to produce their own icons in different fields of art. He added that local artists are not used during provincial events.
