Music extravaganza awaits festival goers

Traditional music lovers are in for a treat next weekend as Kincha Media will present its third annual Hlanganani Traditional Music and Arts Celebration for the first time at Thulamahashe Stadium on October 24.

The celebration will feature the finest traditional-music performers and various cultural exhibitions are to be showcased.

The celebration aims to promote and uplift traditional and urban music and dance by bringing together traditional-music artists to a festival like never before!

“This is an event that aims to promote and uplift our African traditions and heritage. The festival aims to excite, inform and create a platform to market and promote South Africa’s and the African culture as a whole,” explains King Chauke of Kincha Media.

Attendees will enjoy a taste of the finest African artists including Benny Mayengani, Joe Shirimani, Kanda Bongo Man, the Cultural Spears of Botswana, Mr Bow of Mozambique, Zozo, General Muzka, Kenny Bhevula, iHashi Elimhlophe, Percy Mfana, Vuyelwa, DJ Brian (ML FM) Mayanda and many more.

The event will also have art exhibitions and attendees will be treated to traditional meals as well as a three-stage drama performance to keep them entertained from 15:00.
Tickets are available from Computicket at R100 for general access, R500 for VIP including welcoming drinks and meal. The same tickets will also be sold for R120 at the gate for the general access and R500 VIP. Gates will open at 14:00.
