Kwesta touches base with Mbombela

"It's sentimental to me in so many ways and I'm confident that the people who listen to it will also relate. It took me almost a year to put to bed and it's a double CD."

Anyone who does not believe that Mpumalanga has become the darling of the entertainment industry has clearly not noticed the exciting things happening in the province lately.

Hip-hop sensation, Kwesta – whose real name is Senzo Vilakazi – has recently released a banger album titled DaKAR II, and what better way to get it out there than by taking it to the province of the rising sun?

“This is by far the best album I’ve ever worked on.

“It’s sentimental to me in so many ways and I’m confident that the people who listen to it will also relate. It took me almost a year to put to bed and it’s a double CD,” said Kwesta.

His hit song, “Ngud'” has taken the country by storm and it’s making huge waves in the industry.

“It’s one of those songs where you find the guys putting together a beat in the studio, start humming to it and something magical comes out. It really wasn’t planned at all, we just found ourselves working on it. Cassper Nyovest and I have always wanted to collaborate.

“Ngud'” is one song that saw the collaboration happening. I’m glad the country is responding well to it,” he added.

Kwesta said he’s available for bookings for gigs and we urge Mpumalanga to take advantage of the opportunity, because what is a gig without “Ngud'”? He can be booked on [email protected].

We have CDs to give away, email the name of Kwesta’s album to [email protected] to get yours.
