Team Mpumalanga wins Clash of the Choirs

"We have since changed the perception of this province together, people used to refer to us as a ‘Mampara Province’ but now we can safely say that we are indeed a winning province."

Mpumalanga has done it again, this time it was #TeamJR on the Clash of the Choirs competition, proving once more that this province has grown immensely in terms of supporting its own.

The team walked away with the one million rand cheque after competing with the rest of the provinces.
Mentored by JR, real name Thabo Bogopa, the team held it down nicely over the weeks and proved how well consistency can do for a team united in one purpose.
Premier David Mabuza has congratulated the team and applauded them for taking the provincial flag even higher.
“It is not unusual these days for Mpumalanga to win national competitions, I would like to thank the province for rallying behind their own and ensuring that they realise their dreams.

We have since changed the perception of this province together, people used to refer to us as a ‘Mampara Province’ but now we can safely say that we are indeed a winning province. Thank you Mpumalanga,” said Premier David Mabuza.
