Through the grapevine: Behaviour on social media can result in dismissal
Before we talk about the hideous outfits at the swearing-in of cabinet members and the premier last week, we would like to know who appointed some of you as labour lawyers and social media experts?
Is it safe to say Mbombela is one of the toxic places with people who rattle on social media for likes that will not even change the price of bread.
Here’s what needs balancing:
• From the first set of videos Khaya Angel posted, there was division with a minority who saw the whole thing ending on a bad note. On the other hand, Mark Zuckerberg’s volunteers were cheer-leading. Why don’t you “queens and princesses” engage with one another? Many are forever claiming to be advocating for women’s issues and how real queens fix each other’s crowns. Khu-za-na-ni!
• Many people lost their jobs, children and women are killed almost every week in the province, but that has never grabbed attention like the matter at hand. Is this the first youth issue to emerge that warrants the ANCYL’s action plan in the statement issued?
• If you’re employed, you should know what the law says about policies. Guyzin, let’s also tread carefully when it comes to mentioning names. Who are we to undermine the broadcaster’s decision?
Anyway, all we can do is to let the experts deal with the matter. Is anybody willing to reveal where this boutique that sells those check suits worn by some MPLs located? At some point we thought one had attended the wrong event instead of a pyjama party.
Have a great weekend and remember that it is not why you do social media but how well you choose to do it.
May the force be with you!
