The Music Creatives Workshop grows the arts

This year artists will be mentored by DJ Tira, Zwai Bala, Slikour and DJ Zoe.

Budding artists in the province continue to be empowered through various initiatives like the Music Creatives Workshop.

Redamancy Lifestyle and Entertainment, in partnership with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), hosted activation workshops which kicked off on July 31 in KaNyamazane, where up-and-coming local artists were given an opportunity to learn more about the music industry.

Founder and managing director of Redamancy Lifestyle and Entertainment, Zodwa Matsebula (DJ Zoe) said, with three activations so far, she had no doubt this year’s workshop will be a success.

“The aim is to develop, educate and nurture talented young people in the arts and creative industry.
“Information is being shared and artists, DJs, vocalists, choreographers and producers have submitted their demos in the KaNyamazane, Nkomazi, Emalahleni and Bushbuckridge areas.

“Our next stop is eMalahleni today, and on August 28 we will be heading to Ermelo,” she declared.
Institutions such as NYDA give businesses advice at the activations, and artists are advised on how to build a fan base and profiles.

The workshop is scheduled to take place from November 27 to 29 at Mbombela Stadium.
