Covid-19: 382 new confirmed cases and 13 deaths recorded in Mpumalanga since yesterday

The Mpumalanga Department of Health confirmed that the number of Covid-19 cases in the province has increased to 11 363.

South Africa has a total of 452 529 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to an announcement by the minister of health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, on Monday July 27.

A total of 11 363 of those cases have been recorded in Mpumalanga. According to data released by the Mpumalanga Department of Health, 5 494 recoveries have been recorded to date. There have been 65 deaths recorded in the province.

The number of positive cases in Mpumalanga can be broken down as follows:

Ehlanzeni District

  • Bushbuckridge: 256 cases, 180 recoveries and four deaths
  • City of Mbombela: 1 488 cases, 707 recoveries and five deaths
  • Nkomazi: 520 cases, 259 recoveries and one death
  • Thaba Chweu: 158 cases and 72 recoveries

Gert Sibande District

  • Chief Albert Luthuli: 214 cases, 77 recoveries and one death
  • Dipaliseng: 218 cases and 149 recoveries
  • Dr Pixely Ka Isaka Seme: 379 cases, 202 recoveries and four deaths
  • Govan Mbeki: 1 654 cases, 709 recoveries and 11 deaths
  • Lekwa: 529 cases, 228 recoveries and seven deaths
  • Mkhondo: 217 cases, 94 recoveries and 10 deaths
  • Msukaligwa: 584 cases, 228 recoveries and five deaths

Nkangala District

  • Dr JS Moroka: 203 cases and 118 recoveries
  • Emakhazeni: 98 cases and 24 recoveries
  • Emalahleni: 3 054 cases, 1 509 recoveries and 10 deaths
  • Steve Tshwete: 1 119 cases, 550 recoveries and three deaths
  • Thembisile Hani: 355 cases, 209 recoveries and four deaths
  • Victor Khanye: 317 cases and 179 recoveries.
