Covid-19: The number of confirmed cases in Mpumalanga as of August 4
The Mpumalanga Department of Health has confirmed that the number of coronavirus cases in the province has increased to 15 693.

South Africa has recorded 521 318 confirmed infections, according to an announcement by the minister of health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, on Tuesday, August 4.
A total of 15 693 of those cases have been reported in Mpumalanga. According to data released by the Mpumalanga Department of Health, there have been 10 736 recoveries and 123 deaths to date.
The number of positive cases in the province can be broken down as follows:

Ehlanzeni District
- Bushbuckridge: 389 cases, 303 recoveries and four deaths
- City of Mbombela: 2 223 cases, 1 347 recoveries and 10 deaths
- Nkomazi: 840 cases, 600 recoveries and four deaths
- Thaba Chweu: 221 cases and 149 recoveries.
Gert Sibande District
- Chief Albert Luthuli: 362 cases, 237 recoveries and three deaths
- Dipaliseng: 255 cases and 215 recoveries
- Dr Pixely Ka Isaka Seme: 572 cases, 400 recoveries and five deaths
- Govan Mbeki: 2 281 cases, 1 502 recoveries and 22 deaths
- Lekwa: 785 cases, 487 recoveries and 23 deaths
- Mkhondo: 284 cases, 187 recoveries and 14 deaths
- Msukaligwa: 922 cases, 544 recoveries and eight deaths.
Nkangala District
- Dr JS Moroka: 266 cases, 201 recoveries and three deaths
- eMakhazeni: 185 cases and 120 recoveries
- eMalahleni: 3 798 cases, 2 779 recoveries and 14 deaths
- Steve Tshwete: 1 474 cases, 1 022 recoveries and five deaths
- Thembisile Hani: 458 cases, 332 recoveries and four deaths
- Victor Khanye: 378 cases and 311 recoveries and four deaths.
