Heroic Isipingo taxi driver helps reunite lost child with mum
Like many superheroes, the taxi driver wished to remain anonymous and was just glad that he could assist little Lisa.
An Isipingo taxi driver rushed to the aid of a six-year-old girl, Lisa, who was distraught when the school bell rang and she was left stranded, South Coast Sun reports.
“The transport service that usually picks her up from school was late and she wandered off. When the transport service arrived, they looked for her for about an hour and then called me to find out if I had fetched her. So many thoughts rushed into my head and I feared that I may never see my little girl again. I rushed to the school and called PT Alarms for assistance,” said her mother, Simangele Sindeni.
Thankfully, the little girl was found in the care of a taxi driver at the Isipingo CBD. The security company escorted the distraught mother to meet the driver, where she found her daughter safe and unharmed.
“The taxi driver was fetching high school children when he spotted my daughter crying uncontrollably. He asked her if she knew the way home, but she didn’t. He took her to the taxi rank and searched her bag. Thankfully, he found my contact details and let me know that she was safe. When we were reunited, the taxi driver became emotional as well. I am so happy and relieved that my baby is safe.”
The little girl was questioned if she was harmed in any way and confirmed that she was fine. Like many superheroes, the taxi driver wished to remain anonymous and was just glad that he could assist little Lisa.
“To the taxi driver, I thank you for being a kind-hearted human being. Always continue to help others as a good deed goes a long way,” added the thankful mother.
