Popular Pretoria fitness trainer shot and killed during a live online training session
The popular fitness trainer known as ‘The Beast’ was killed while giving a virtual workout class in his home in Pretoria.
Police have launched a manhunt for an unknown number of suspects after a well-known fitness instructor was shot and killed in Saulsville, Tshwane, on Wednesday night, November 10.
According to reports, the 40-year-old fitness trainer, Lawrence Masinge, was shot dead during a live virtual workout class at around 19:20.

Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo confirmed the murder, but could not yet confirm a motive at this stage. Masondo said police were appealing to anyone who might have information that could help in the investigation or assist police in apprehending the suspects.
He said alternatively, the public could please call the nearest police station or crime stop on 08600 10111.
Rekord has reached out to the family, who said they could not comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, Masinge’s shocked clients who witnessed the shooting took to social media and shared photos of the incident.
The photos show a man in beige pants and a black top with what looks like a weapon in his right hand pointing at the instructor, who is lying on the floor.
