Mother from Kempton Park killed in front of her children and husband

The woman was shot and killed at her house in Birchleigh North in the presence of her two children and her husband.

A woman was shot and killed at her home in Birchleigh North in Kempton Park this morning at around 07:00.

According to Sgt Barbara Ferreira, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, the woman was with her two children and husband when she was shot.

“Both the wife and husband were reversing their vehicles when two suspects walked into the yard and headed straight to the woman’s car. They fired shots through the window,” said Ferreira.

“The two suspects fled in two different directions with one is believed to have taken off his jacket before entering a taxi.”

The children were allegedly in their father’s vehicle when their mother was shot.

Cases of attempted hijacking and murder are being investigated.
