Wife of ex-Springbok coach Peter de Villiers found dead in swimming pool
According to the police, the 62-year-old was found in a swimming pool in Gqeberha on Monday afternoon.
The wife of ex-Springboks coach, Peter de Villiers, has passed away on Monday afternoon.
It is believed that Theresa de Villiers was found dead in a swimming pool while visiting family in Gqeberha.
The political party Good, of which Peter de Villiers is a councillor, published a statement on Facebook, sending their condolences to the family.

The police in Walmer, Gqeberha, have confirmed that an inquest has been opened after the body of a woman was found floating in a pool by a family member in Fairview.
“It is alleged that at approximately 12:00, the body of a 62-year-old woman was found in the swimming pool in Redbud Street,” said police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg.
According to Janse van Rensburg, the woman was from Paarl but was visiting with family in Gqeberha. No foul play is suspected.
She said the circumstances surrounding the alleged drowning would be investigated. Even though the police declined to identify the victim, it has been widely reported that it is indeed the wife of De Villiers.
