Police investigate Vereeniging ATM bombing incident

The robbers managed to flee with an unknown amount of cash.

The police in Vereeniging have launched an investigation into an ATM bombing incident. The incident happened in the early hours on Friday morning at a Supermarket in Sonlandpark.

Police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda says, “Police received a complaint of an ATM bombing incident and on arrival, found that suspects had fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

“The K9 dog unit also arrived on the scene to assist with preliminary investigations.”

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact crime stop on 0860010111 or give an anonymous tip-off using the MYSAPS app.
