It is unclear at this stage what the cause of the fire is, but investigations are underway.

A mother and two of her children made a narrow escape when their house in Centurion was engulfed in flames on Friday morning.

Cert-SA paramedics who responded to the incident said they arrived at the house in The Reeds residential suburb around 10:00.

“On arrival it was found that several rooms of the house were on fire and thick smoke was billowing from the house. A mother and her two small children managed to escape the inferno. The mother sustained a minor burn to her hand and was assessed by medical personnel on the scene.”
