Lesotho nationals arrested for house robbery in Gauteng
A domestic worker was threatened to open her employer's safe and was robbed of her cellphone.
Two Lesotho nationals have been arrested after a house robbery at a smallholding in Vereenging, Gauteng on September 29.
According to a media statement by Sedibeng district commissioner Major General Zodwa Molefe, two sergeants were informed about the incident and rushed to the crime scene.

“On arrival, the members received information from a domestic worker that the suspects pointed a firearm at her and demanded her cellphone and key to the safe. The suspects then took a riffle and ran away towards the Vaal River on foot,” reads the statement.
The officers followed the suspects’ trail and apprehended them along the banks of the Vaal River.
Two unlicensed firearms, a rifle, a 9mm pistol and the victim’s cellphone were found in their possession.
The are expected to appear before the local magistrate’s court soon to face charges of house robbery, the possession of unlicensed firearms and the unlawful possession of ammunition.
